Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Beverly, MA

Derivix is seeking talented and passionate software quality assurance engineers. The successful candidate will work with Product Management to write test plans, execute those test plans as part of a finely tuned release process, use test plans to guide the development of scripts to be incorporated into the automated build process, and otherwise corral a wild herd of software developers to be responsible and productive.

Responsibilities:

• Write test plans based on specifications provided by Product Management.
• Execute test plans on a regular basis.
• Write scripts to be used in automated build process.
• Write unit tests to be used in automated build process.
• File and manage bugs in a bug tracking system.
• Provide technical backup to Derivix support staff on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to work as a productive and cooperative team player is critical.
• Must be fluent in English and have string written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience writing clear, concise test plans.
• Experience testing desktop applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Shell and Batch scripting.
• Basic knowledge of C# a plus.
• Working knowledge of Linux a plus.

Education:

BS in computer science or equivalent.
