
Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Beverly, MA
The Role
Derivix is seeking talented and passionate software quality assurance engineers. The successful candidate will work with Product Management to write test plans, execute those test plans as part of a finely tuned release process, use test plans to guide the development of scripts to be incorporated into the automated build process, and otherwise corral a wild herd of software developers to be responsible and productive.
Responsibilities:
- Write test plans based on specifications provided by Product Management.
- Execute test plans on a regular basis.
- Write scripts to be used in automated build process.
- Write unit tests to be used in automated build process.
- File and manage bugs in a bug tracking system.
- Provide technical backup to Derivix support staff on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to work as a productive and cooperative team player is critical.
- Must be fluent in English and have string written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience writing clear, concise test plans.
- Experience testing desktop applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Shell and Batch scripting.
- Basic knowledge of C# a plus.
- Working knowledge of Linux a plus.
Education:
BS in computer science or equivalent.
