
Product Documentation Specialist
Location: Beverly, MA
The Role
Derivix is seeking talented Product Documentation Specialist to join our team in our Beverly, MA office. The Product Documentation Specialist primary role is to provide product documentation for our customers, both in text & on-line interactive tutorial formats.
Responsibilities:
- Own development and maintenance of documentation and training tools for Derivix products. Deliverables will be a combination of text documents & on-line tutorials.
- Be knowledgeable and proficient on the company's products.
- Work collaboratively with subject matter experts, while providing professional and courteous technical expertise.
- Be knowledgeable of the environment in which Derivix customers work (trading desks within investment banks, hedge funds, proprietary trading environments, and exchanges).
- Participate in special projects as necessary to improve the tools available to the Client Services team, and work on cross-functional teams to improve processes related to product documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent writing and technical skills with proven experience writing high-quality documentation for software applications.
- Expert experience with all phases of documentation production and online development; including use of Flash or interactive applications such as Captivate.
- A minimum of 1 year of industry experience. Relevant experience includes (but is not limited to) technical communication roles within an options trading desk environment; or an options-specific financial software firm.
- 2 to 4 years experience working in Information Development or similar environment.
- Very organized with strong documentation, tracking and detail management. Does not let things drop in the cracks.
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ideally, the ability to converse with subject matter experts in their own terms, familiarity with trading and pricing models including binomial and Black Scholes. Familiarity with risk management and options execution a plus.
Education:
A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent related experience is required.
